Luana is a member of the Merrilands Country Music Club in New Plymouth and has been performing for about 15 years.
In this time she has been successful in many awards.
She represented New Zealand in the Trans Tasman Country Music Entertainer of the Year in 2015 and came home with the Encouragement Trophy.
She has been a finalist in the New Zealand Country Music Entertainer of the Year on many occasions as a solo artist and songwriter.
She has had the pleasure to perform on a few festivals through the central North Island and Taranaki as a performer and band member.
In 2020 she released her first album “Through It All” which will be for sale during the festival.
It has a mixture of songs that have taken her places over the years.
She is also looking to record another album at the start of next year.
Luana plays in three club bands supporting singers to get up and have a go, and has been on many awards and club committees supporting the growth of country music in New Zealand.
This year her sole focus is on music as she joins the Bay Music School in Tauranga teaching music in primary schools as well as being team leader/ECE teacher at Little Villa in Ngongotaha.
Nothing brings her more joy than seeing children express their feelings through the sound of music.
She brings a unique style to the festival where she will bring her band, Aaron Corbett, Mark Corbett, Dave Nepia, Tope Perana and Jade O’Brien with her.
They will entertain you with good ole classics to modern country rock. Catch them over the weekend for their unique style and sound.
